WHY A XR-EXPERIENCE EVENT?

 

Man amalgamated with machine to form a symbiosis of riding pleasure. The Honda XR Motorcycle is an icon in the Dual Sport Motorcycling community, the riders are unique and a breed apart.  They have pride in their machines and share their passion with a select number of fellow riders from collectors models of days gone by to the latest additions.  This event provides these individuals with a platform to strut their stuff, share experiences, form new bonds with like-minded riders or just to share an experience with old friends.  

 

The XR-Experience is just such an event!

 

 

SOME QUICK FACTS

 

When:  14th, 15th and 16th September 2012.

 

Where:  ADA Training and Outdoor Centre, close to the Hartebeespoort Dam.  The map will be published closer to the date when entries open.

 

Entries:  Entries open on 01 August 2012 and closes on 07 September 2012.

 

Booking:  Send your details to info@adasa.co.za and they will provide you with all required documentation for entry.

 

Fee:  TBA per person.TBA per guest attending Saturday skills event and Dinner.

 

Eligible motorcycles:  Honda XR400R / XR500R / XR600R / XR650R / XR650L

ENTRIES OPEN AND CLOSE

 

  1. Entries open on 01 August 2012  and closes on 07 September 2012.
  2. Cancellation – 48hours before the event 50% refund - no refund after 48 hours.
  3. You can also enter through your local Dealer as a team.  Contact your local Honda Dealer in this regard.

 

 

KEY ASPECTS

 

  1. This event will take place in an environmental sensitive area.  We request you to respect this and ensure that specifically noise pollution is managed through compliance to required decibel levels.  An exhaust pipe like the FMF Q4 is a good reference (less than 100 decibels).
  2. You can trailer your bike to the venue.
  3. Knobbly tyres will be an advantage.
  4. You can bring a pillion with to the event.  Pillions may participate in all events.  Pillions entry the same as for rider.
  5. Family can come and watch the afternoon’s skills challenge and join you for dinner. Cost will be R100.00 per person.
  6. Please ensure that you have a full tank of fuel.  There are filling stations close by.
  7. You will need proper protective riding gear.  Boots, helmets and gloves will be compulsory as a minimum.
  8. A hydropack/camelpack is strongly recommended for hydration.
  9. Basic tools and puncture repair kit will be required.
  10. Bring some cash for additional snacks, drinks and so on.
  11. Utensils for eating and drinking will be provided.
  12. A GPS is not required, but can help if you do decide to get lost.
  13. Bring own sleeping bag and toiletries.  Tents will be supplied.
  14. A cash bar will be available.

 

 

ACCOMMODATION

 

  1. It will consist of a tented camp.
  2. Limited accommodation in supplied tents, otherwise your own tent.

 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  1. Participation in the XR-Experience rally is undertaken on a voluntary basis and at own risk.
  2. With confirmation of booking, you accept the terms and conditions and agree that you are attending the event entirely at your own risk.
  3. You further indemnify the organisers and their agents against any damages or losses sustained by the person or any belongings.
  4. You also agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the organisers and their agents.

  1. Ride with owners of XR motorcycles in a controlled and challenging area inaccessible to the general public.
  2. Build on your own skill level by challenging yourself and learning from others.
  3. Share your passion and pride with like-minded XR adventurers.
  4. All meals during the event, accommodation, routes and skill challenges.
  5. Skilled instructors from ADA on hand to assist you.
  6. A goody bag and event T-Shirt on arrival.
  7. Many prizes up for grabs.
