• Sport utility vehicles with low range.
• Sport utility vehicles without low range.

Course description

This course is designed around the principles of (a) safe driving practices and (b) providing new drivers or owners with a level independence in terms where they can travel.

Course outline

This course covers aspects such as:

• Understanding how the 4x4 system on vehicle works.
• Understanding the theory of safe and environmental 4xe travel over various terrain forms.
• Practical applications in varied terrain that includes, uphill, downhill, riding side slopes, traversing ditches and recovering from an uphill stall.
• Adventure ride out in scenic terrain.

Duration

One day course  (starts 08:30 for 09:00 – ends around 13:00)

Target audience

This course is ideal for new owners and /or first time drivers.

Pre-requisites

The following is required:

• Valid driver’s license.
