Course description

This course is for women only.  If you prefer to learn in an all-female environment and atmosphere, then this course is for you.  There are a few things that are different in how females ride their bikes and have to adapt to their motorcycles.  This course will highlight those aspects.

ADA has some of the most experienced female instructors to assist you. 

This course is designed around the principles of (a) mindset, (b) mastering the primary controls, (c) unison, balance, and body position, and (d) interpreting terrain.

Course outline

This course instills essential skills around effective use of the controls, balance, emergency braking and basic up and downhill techniques and more. This is course prepares riders for more advanced riding practices. This course covers aspects such as:

  • Understanding bike maintenance.
  • Mounting a bike, safely picking it up, and understanding bike balance and body positions.
  • Mastering the primary controls (throttle, brakes, and clutch, and gearing).
  • Basic up and down hill techniques, and emergency braking.
  • Essential bike, rider controls and balance, basic sitting and standing positions.
  • Manoeuvring the bike in different types of terrains.

People that master the techniques presented in this course becomes competent to progress to the next level courses. For existing riders this course refreshes and enhances existing rider skills.

Duration

One day course (starts 08:00 for 08:30 – ends around 15:30)

Target audience

This course is ideal for riders that wishes to refresh their basic skills as well as those that need to create a real understanding of applying basic off-road riding skills.

Pre-requisites

The following is required:

  • Must be able to ride a motorcycle comfortable on normal roads and/or off-road terrain.
  • Must have basic riding kit such as helmet, goggles, gloves, sturdy pants, upper body protection, and proper riding boots.
