How do I book for a course?
You can phone the Academy on 086 146 6328 and make a booking or you can follow the booking link at the bottom of the course outlines and book the course. You can also book by email; info@adasa.co.za
What do I need to bring with?
It is very hot in summer and cold in winter. In both situations it is required to wear suitable riding gear as well as bring with hydration packs for off-road courses.
What preparation is required?
The courses are physically demanding. It requires and acceptable level of riding fitness depending on the type of course presented in order to get the most out of the course. Having the right riding gear constributes to the experience as well as having a hydration pack both in summer and winter helps to address the possibility of dehydration. Care is taken to make regular water breaks, but it is not always possible depending on the course and the terrain.
The courses logically precedes one another and you will be required to have completed certain courses before progressing to the next level. Enquire for more detail at info@adasa.co.za
I dont have a honda so does that mean I cant do training?
No, you can still do training no matter what bike, quad or car you have. Honda customers just get the training for free if there VIN number hasen't already been used previously for training.
Do I have to attend the course with my own vehicle?
Attending the course with your own vehicle
provides you the opportunity that you can learn your bike better. ADA does have a limited option of providing
access to clients to rent vehicles.
Can I rent a bike and safety gear from you?
Yes, you can. We have CRF'S 250x abd CRF'S 230f and we have all the basic riding gear....helmets, pants, shirts and boots that you can rent.
Does ADA only deliver training through the Honda Adventure Academy to Honda clients?
ADA is very proud of the association it has with Honda SA and to deliver this service country-wide. However, the Honda Adventure Academy has always been open to all brands.
ADA also delivers training to all brands as well as facilitate for instance the BMW Bavarian Academy.
What do the courses cost?
The prices of the courses are provided within the outline of each course under the dates and prices section.
What time do courses start?
Various course starting times apply. Weekend course (DP1 and DP2) commence Friday afternoon at 17:30. Young riders, Dual Purpose Rider Skills, ATV and Off-road courses on Saturdays commences at 08:00 for 08:30. Enduro and Off-road Techniques commence on Sundays at 08:00 for 08:30. SUV training commence on Sundays at 08:30 for 09:00.
What time do courses complete?
The
DP1 and DP2 course ends on Sunday between 12:00 and 14:00. Saturday courses ends around 15:30 and Sunday
courses completes around 13:00 for SUVs and 15:30 for Mod 1 and Mod 2.
Are there opportunities for group bookings?
ADA
has expertise in delivering courses and events to groups, whether a social or
formal group, clubs, racing teams and/or corporates. Please contact the office and we will present
you with a proposal.
Do you host fun/crowd drawing events?
ADA facilitate skills
challenges, manage client access to vehicles to be used in a closed circuit and
much more. Please contact the office and
we will present you with a proposal.
Do I need to start at the lowest course and work myself up?
In principle, Yes. ADA has experienced good riders with years of
experience gaining value from getting the basics right. However, should you have completed a previous
course at a reputable training institution, you can contact us and we will
assist you to make an informed decision.
Will you cater for me if I am a vegetarian?
Most definitely so. Please ensure during booking that your requirement for vegetarian food has been noted and we will serve you!
Do the courses cater for Pillion training?
Yes, the Dual Purpose and On-road rider courses cater for pillion involvement and training. The general approach, if it i sthe first time that you do the course, is to ensure that you master the exercises and then to assist you with the pillion.
